Sindh reduces time for 2021 matric, intermediate exams by an hour
KARACHI: Sindh has decided to scale back the duration of matric and intermediate board exams from three hours to 2 hours for tutorial year 2021, provincial education minister Saeed Ghani said Saturday.
He was announcing the choices made during a gathering of the committee regarding educational activities in province amid the coronavirus pandemic.
The dates for matric and intermediate board exams, summer vacations and begin of the new school year were announced.
Strict standard operating procedures are going to be implemented to limit the spread of coronavirus, Ghani said.
These were a number of the committee's decisions:
Annual examinations for matric and intermediate will start from July
Matric board exams are going to be from Dominion Day to July 15, while intermediate exams are going to be from July 28 to August 16
Exams for college kids of pre-primary to class eight are going to be conducted in June
Practicals are going to be held before exams in June
New school year for public sector educational institutions will start from August 2, 2021
Summer vacations are going to be in July
Paper pattern for board exams: half the exam will contains multiple-choice questions, while 30% will have short questions and 20% long questions
