Netflix To Roll Out Sleep Timer For Android Devices
Netflix working to bring sleep timer feature for Android app users
Netflix is testing a timer feature on Android which will allow you to pause a show after a particular time has elapsed. The streaming giant is testing the likelihood of adding a sleep timer on Android devices. it'll help the users sleep on time without missing out on their favourite shows.
As reported by the Verge —Netflix confirming the news revealed that the timer function allows you to settle on to prevent playback after 15, 30, or 45 minutes. The feature are often accessed from a timer button on the upper right of video playback. The test is currently limited to a couple of users globally on Android. Later Netflix is probably going to expand the feature to other devices including TV, laptops, and other devices.
The report further adds, Netflix is testing the timer feature globally. But sadly it'll not be available to iOS users any time soon. the rationale is that the feature is being tested for Android devices.
Here is how you'll set the timer:
1. prefer to play an internet series or a movie from the Netflix catalogue
2. within the upper right corner, you'd find a clock icon. it's also marked Timer on the app.
3. Tap on the watch icon
4. choose between the given time slots 15, 30, 45 minutes, or Finish Show.
5. After the chosen slot , the app will stop playing the video.
This is not the sole feature Netflix is testing. they're also performing on a feature which will help users save on their browsing time. The feature is named the Streaming Roulette. it'll pick a title for users supported their preferences.
