The third season of action crime thriller streaming television series, ‘Mirzapur’ is ready to travel on floors soon, revealed Producer Ritesh Sidhwani. The series was renewed for a 3rd season on 12 November 2020 by Amazon Prime Video. Mirzapur had a successful run within the first and second seasons.
Now, Ritesh Sidhwani dropped a serious hint on the third season and revealed that the online series is ready to travel on floors soon. In an interview with Bollywood Life, he said: “Mirzapur we are performing on the script. We were actually alleged to start shooting this year, but now due to the lockdown and rains (the monsoons, following the lockdown, has apparently made it difficult for the third season to require off, despite the govt somewhat relaxing shooting restrictions for the industry), it's happening definitely, but it’ll be happening next year.”
The story and therefore the release dates of the much-awaited third season are still covert .
In the first season, it features Pankaj Tripathi, Shweta Tripathi, Divyendu Sharma, Ali Fazal, Vikrant Massey, Shriya Pilgaonkar, Rasika Dugal, Harshita Gaur, and Kulbhushan Kharbanda, whereas the second season retains the principal cast from the primary season, excluding Massey and Pilgaonkar, with a replacement cast consisting of Vijay Varma, Isha Talwar, Lilliput, Anjum Sharma, Priyanshu Painyuli, Anangsha Biswas and Neha Sargam.
As per Amazon Prime Video, the second season of Mirzapur was “watched in over 180 countries within seven days of its release on the service.”
