Days after Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah actress Munmun Dutta was accused of employing a casteist slur in her latest YouTube video, now actress Yuvika Chaudhary has come under the scanner for an equivalent reason.
Yuvika took to her twitter page and wrote, "Hi guys I didn’t kw the meaning that word wt I utilized in my last vlog I didn’t mean to harm anyone and that i can never do this to harm someone I apologise to every n all I hope you understand love you all"
In the viral video, Yuvika are often seen filming together with her actor-husband Prince Narula as he gets a haircut done. Filming herself within the mirror, Yuvika said that always whenever she vlogs she always seems like a bhangi. Later, Twitterati expressed outrage when Munmun used the offensive term.
For the uninitiated, the term employed by the actress was to denote members of a Dalit caste employed in sanitation within the 19th century. Members of this caste have traditionally been restricted to sweeping, cleaning toilets, and handling dead bodies.
