Prerna V Arora’s ‘Rosie: The Saffron Chapter’ goes on floors; Palak Tiwari gives the mahurat shot


In July, Mandiraa Entertainment and Vivek Anand Oberoi’s Oberoi Mega Entertainment announced their second collaboration titled Rosie: The Saffron Chapter. The horror-thriller is predicated on the real-life story of the sudden disappearance of a lady named Rosie from Gurugram, who was an employee at a BPO company. After hosting a nation-wide hunt to zero down on a replacement talent who would play the titular character, the manufacturers roped in newbie Palak Tiwari.



The film, which also stars Vivek Oberoi, went on floors on the 18th of December. the primary schedule of the film is currently happening in Pune. the primary day of the shoot involved an evening sequence with Tiwari giving the mahurat shot. Following the Pune schedule, the team are going to be starting their second schedule in Mumbai.

Shooting amidst the new normal is not any cakewalk but the cast and therefore the crew of Rosie: The Saffron Chapter is adhering to strict Covid-19 guidelines. The sets are being sanitised at regular intervals and therefore the crew has been requested to wear masks, gloves, face shields and PPE kits in the least times. As per a mandate by the assembly houses, everyone entering the film set has got to undergo a Swab test to rule out any possibility of a hazard .


Talking about kick-starting the shoot, producer, Vivek Anand Oberoi, says, “It was a really special moment on behalf of me and a special film to me. I knew that I had to be present on the primary day of the shoot of Rosie: The Saffron Chapter. Being a producer is teaching me tons . it's new on behalf of me but i'm enjoying equally of it and really looking forward. Besides, i used to be waiting to urge back to a movie set. We are sticking to all or any the precautionary measures to stay all health risks cornered . i'm hopeful that we'll achieve what we've began to.”



In a similar vein, producer Prerna V Arora says, “We knew that shooting during these tough times wouldn't be easy on the other hand , we made sure that we adhere to each guideline to form our sets a secure place for the cast and therefore the crew. Rosie: The Saffron Chapter is our passion project. Pari was my first horror film which released in 2018 and is extremely on the brink of my heart and that i am very pleased with that film.. after which Rosie jogged my memory of a really popular television program called “honi unhoni” which my grandmother wont to tell me about and it always stayed on my mind until I found this script which is predicated on the real-time incident and it’s very overwhelming fr me. Also, i'm really very very honoured and happy to collaborate with k sera sera group..”

Excited to start the shoot, director, Vishal Mishra, shares, “It is an assurance once you have established names like Vivek Anand Oberoi and Prerna V Arora backing you. it's only been each day but Palak has already left us impressed. She is that the heart and soul of our film and she or he is extremely hardworking and sincere. we'll be shooting in Pune for a short time and can then continue with the second schedule in Mumbai. it's said that working with talented people brings out the simplest from you and this film may be a shining example of that.”


‘Rosie: The Saffron Chapter’, directed by Vishal Ranjan Mishra, marks the second collaboration between Mandiraa Entertainment and Oberoi Mega Entertainment after Iti – are you able to Solve Your Own Murder. The film is produced by Vivek Anand Oberoi, Girish Johar, Kussum Arora, Reshabh D Saraf, Keyur Pandya and Sanjeet S Yermal
