"That was really heartbreaking," said Masaba Gupta
Designer Masaba Gupta, who is busy with the shooting of Masaba Masaba 2, managed to scoop a while out of her schedule and interacted together with her Instafam through an inquire from me Anything session. She was asked by an Instagram user: "What is that the one thing that you simply didn't know from Neena ji's book Sach Kahun Toh?" Masaba replied: "I didn't know that she didn't have any money when she had me, once I was born and that i didn't know she had no money to pay even for my birth, which was a C-section in order that was really heartbreaking."

In her memoir, Neena Gupta recalled not having the ability to afford a cesarean delivery . She only had enough money in her bank to buy a natural birth which cost about 2,000 then. "As my maturity approached, I began to worry because I had little or no money in my account. I could afford a natural birth because it might cost only 2,000. But I knew if I had to possess a C-section, i might be in trouble because the surgery cost almost 10,000. Luckily, a tax reimbursement of 9000 came through a couple of days before my delivery and that i finally ended up with 12,000 in my checking account ," the excerpt from her book read.
Masaba was last seen within the Netflix blockbuster Masaba Masaba, a semi-fictionalised show inspired by the lives of Masaba Gupta and her actress-mother Neena Gupta. it had been directed by Sonam Nair and produced by Ashvini Yardi. The second season of the show will release this year. Last year, Masaba also featured together of the judges on the TV reality show MTV Supermodel Of The Year. Priyanka Chopra, Alia Bhatt, Sonam Kapoor, film maker Rhea Kapoor and lots of other Bollywood stars, including Masaba's mother Neena Gupta, swear by her designs.
Neena Gupta, star of films like Aadat Se Majboor, Gandhi, Mandi, Utsav, Laila, Jaane Bhi Do Yaaron, Trikaal, Susman, Kaarnama, within the recent years, made appearances in films like Veere Di Wedding, Panga, Mulk, Badhaai Ho and Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar.
She also starred in Amazon Prime Video's web-series Panchayat and Netflix's Masaba Masaba, during which she featured along side her daughter and designer Masaba Gupta. She was last seen in Sardar Ka Grandson, featuring Arjun Kapoor, Rakul Preet Singh, Aditi Rao Hydari and John Abraham. The film is streaming on Netflix.
