A complaint has been filed against Kareena Kapoor Khan over title of her book, 'Pregnancy Bible.'
A few days back, on July 9, Kareena Kapoor Khan unveiled her first book, titled, ‘Pregnancy Bible.’ However, now, her book has landed into legal trouble after a Christian group has taken objection to the title of the book written by the ‘Tashan’ actress. A police complaint has been filed against her for hurting religious sentiments.
On Wednesday, the complaint has been filed against Kareena and two others within the Beed city of Maharashtra. The complaint has been raised by Alpha Omega Christian Mahasangh president Ashish Shinde at the Shivaji Nagar police headquarters in Beed wherein he has mentioned the book’s title, ‘Pregnancy Bible’ which has been authored by Kareena Kapoor and Aditi Shah Bhimjani.
He said that the holy word ‘Bible’ has been utilized in the book’s title and this has hurt the religious sentiments of Christians. A police official confirmed receiving the complaint, however, no FIR has been filed. Shinde has sought registration of a case under IPC section 295-A (deliberate and malicious acts, intended to outrage religious feelings of any class by insulting its religion or religious beliefs) against the ‘Veere Di Wedding’ actress and therefore the two others.
Sainath Thombre, responsible Inspector of Shivaji Nagar police headquarters , told PTI, “We have received the complaint but no case are often registered here because the incident has not happened here (in Beed). I even have advised him to file a complaint in Mumbai.”
