Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai bollywood actor Karan Mehra has been granted bail on Tuesday, hours after Mumbai Police arrested him.
On Monday evening, Karan Mehra who is understood to play Naitik Singhania within the Star Plus serial ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ was arrested by Mumbai Police after his wife and actress Nisha Rawal filed a complaint against her husband in Goregoan following a brawl. Now, the actor has been granted bail.
News agency ANI had tweeted: “#UPDATE | Actor Karan Mehra has been given bail by police: Mumbai Police”.
The press agency earlier tweeted: “Maharashtra | Actor Karan Mehra arrested after his wife & actor Nisha Rawal filed a complaint in Goregaon area last night. Rawal filed a complaint against Mehra following a brawl. A case has been registered: Mumbai Police.”
Karan Mehra and Nisha Rawal were facing trouble in their marital life for a couple of days. it had been being said that the couple was trying to sort their differences out, however, things got ugly. On Tuesday, the couple took to their respective social media accounts where they shared pictures and videos with their son Kavish. Nisha wrote: “Watching the planet through ur eyes has been quite sight my Littloo @kavishmehra A promise to explore the planet along side a smile on our faces that might warm sad hearts,” she captioned the post. Her last post with Karan was on April 21.”
Karan and Nisha had a serious fight last night at their residence in Mumbai, wherein the actor hit his wife in anger to an extent that she possesses stitches on her head. then , an FIR was filed against Karan and therefore the Goregaon police headquarters detained the actor late last night. Currently, Karan is in police custody. Confirming the news, DCP Vishal Thakur quoted, “We have arrested him on the fees of violence . His wife Nisha Rawal has filed complaint,” reported SpotBoye.
As per ABP news, Karan was arrested for allegedly assaulting Nisha. He was released this morning on bail after spending the whole night within the lockup.
According to a report by NDTV, the Goregaon Police have filed a case against Karan Mehra under Indian legal code sections 336 (endangering human life or the private safety others), 337 (causing hurt by an act which endangers human life), 332 (voluntarily causing hurt to discourage employee from his duty), 504 (intentional insult with intent to impress breach of the peace) and 506 (punishment for criminal intimidation).
The couple tied the knot in November 2012 after dating for six years. Karan and Nisha are parents to a four-year-old son, Kavish.
