Producer Boney Kapoor reveals that they're yet to shoot 4 more football matches and can rebuild the stadium once lockdown restrictions are lifted.

On Monday, Mumbai was hit by cyclone Tauktae, with heavy rains and breeze hitting the town . It results in damage at multiple locations, and therefore the Hindi movie industry too suffered losses thanks to the cyclone. Pinkvulla has exclusively learnt that the sets of Ajay Devgn fronted sports drama, Maidaan, were damaged thanks to the cyclone. Producer Boney Kapoor confirmed the event that a standing set in Mumbai was destroyed. it's resulted in financial losses to the manufacturers .
"We had built a whole footfall stadium to shoot 8 matches within the final schedule. While we are through with 4 matches, the shoot was halted thanks to lockdown and now, the cyclone has destroyed our set. It's unfortunate, but most are suffering in how or another. Thankfully, there's no injury to human life," Boney Kapoor told Pinkvilla. We hear, the sets are going to be rebuilt once the lockdown restrictions are lifted.
According to the reports, the crew had built the sets for Maidaan within the outskirts of Mumbai and Ajay Devgn was suppose to shoot an outsized a part of the film within the location. However, thanks to the cyclone, the sets got destroyed to some extent of complete ruining. Talking about an equivalent Boney Kapoor informed Pinkvilla, “We had built a whole footfall stadium to shoot 8 matches within the final schedule.
