Dwayne Johnson gets the pickup emoji on Twitter after 5 years, watch his funny response

Actor and WWE fame star Dwayne Johnson, took to Twitter this morning and announced the pickup truck’s new emoji. The emoji came into being all because of the action stars persistent tweets since 2016. Finally, after five long years, his wish was granted by Twitter. Today, after the launch of the emoji, Dwayne Johnson in one among the hashtags on Twitter wrote “You’re welcome.”

Dwayne Johnson tweeted on Friday, “Sometimes you've got to talk & tweet things into existence. I (and the world) needed a truck emoji. Ladies & gents – I offer you , the NEW TRUCK EMOJI,”

It all started in 2016 when Johnson put out an Instagram post which last read, “insert nonexistent pickup emoji here.” Soon after it became a norm for The Rock to insert non-existent pickup emoji* in many of his tweets.

The Ford Angle:

The video posted by Johnson shows a blue pickup that features a Ford angle too. it had been proposed to the Consortium by Ford, the American automaker in 2017. However, the proposal was rejected some time past . Ford then re-submitted a proposal of a blue pickup in May 2018 and didn't mention the corporate name anywhere. it had been only after the thought got approved that Ford announced that it had been behind the truck emoji on July 17, 2019, The day is widely known as World Emoji Day.

Reportedly anybody can propose an emoji that has got to get approved by a Silicon Valley-based non-profit organisation Unicode Consortium. If approved, the emoji takes around two years to seem on people’s keyboards.
